Join us for a great day out from Edinburgh into the Scottish Highlands!  We offer a unique 1-day Loch Ness Tour guided by your driver to keep you well informed about Scottish culture and history along your journey.

Tour Itinerary 

Leaving Edinburgh, we pass the memorable sight of The Kelpies – the world’s tallest horse sculpture, followed by Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument, perched on their volcanic crags. Then Doune, the River Teith and Callander.

Stop 1Kilmahog (30 Minutes)

Stop 2Loch Tulla Viewpoint
(10 minute Photo Stop) where you can take in the spectacular views over the loch.

Stop 3Glencoe 
(10 minute Photo Stop)
Stand where the Massacre of Glencoe took place.

Stop 4Loch Ness – Fort Augustus

We spend around 2 hours in Fort Augustus, a village that sits at the southernmost tip of Loch Ness. You can buy discounted seats while on the bus if you wish to enjoy a 60 minute cruise on Loch Ness while visiting Fort Augustus (£14 adults, £8 children, £42 family ticket for two adults and two children). You have time to visit the local shops selling Nessie souvenirs, enjoy a leisurely meal and experience the lock system of the Caledonian Canal, which enables boats to move uphill and downhill.

Stop 5Commando Memorial 
(10 minute Photo Stop)

A statue dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II

Stop 6The Victorian town of Pitlochry 
(30 minutes)

Here you have time to explore the town and get a bite to eat before we return to Edinburgh.

Sights: Blair Castle and Dalwhinnie DistilleryCairngorms National Park

As we head back towards Edinburgh, we return over the world famous Firth of Forth, where three bridges from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries run side by side.

Our full day Scottish day tour comes to an end as we return to Edinburgh City Centre around 8:00 pm.

Loch Ness Day Tour from Edinburgh - Go Travel Scotland

PLEASE NOTE that children are welcome on this tour. Children aged 2-15 must pay for a child ticket. Children under 2 years old sitting on an adult’s lap are free. Please pay for a child ticket if you wish to reserve a seat for children under 2 years old (highly recommended as it is a long day). We do not have nappy changing facilities and have lap belts at every seat.

Infants age 0-1 are free provided they do not occupy a seat, please add a child ticket to your booking if you would like to reserve a seat for infants (highly recommended for this long tour).
Seats are first-come, first-served.
The tour will operate in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Unfortunately, the tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Each traveller is allowed 1 carry-on bag size luggage. Please inform the tour operator prior to travel if you wish to store luggage or collapsible buggies in the storage under the coach.
Tours may be cancelled if numbers are too low, but passengers will be offered an alternative tour, another date or receive a full refund.
Please note: the timings of stops and between destinations are approximate and entirely dependent on traffic conditions.
